I am the Principal and CEO of Harlow College and Stansted Airport College, which is proud to be the first further education college in the UK to be awarded Apple Distinguished School status for digital innovation in learning, teaching and assessment.

I am a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications and hold an honours degree in Applied Mathematics. I take an active interest in all aspects of education and am particularly passionate about ensuring the curriculum meets the needs of both young people and adults by providing excellent career pathways. This commitment to strengthening links between education and employers led to the establishment of Stansted Airport College, the first dedicated aviation college at a major UK airport.

I chair the Colleges Aviation Network and also chair the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) focused on STEM jobs and skills within the aviation sector. In 2018, I established Stansted Airport College, the first purpose-built, on-site college at a major UK airport.

I am a member of the College Alliance Group and the Tertiary Colleges Group. In 2020, I was honoured to be awarded an MBE for services to education and aviation.
